So I've been on a weight loss journey for a while now. I started at 355 lbs and I am now 262 lbs. I've almost lost 100 lbs now and I really want to work on my actual appearance lifting wise. However, it seems much easier to keep losing the way I am now just with some simple cardio everyday until I hit what I want (Around 180 lbs) and then bulk up after I hit my goal. Should I bulk up after reaching my goal or go ahead and start now? Thanks /fit/
no advice just saying congrats man keep it up
lol how can you ever consider bulking after losing over 100 fucking pounds

I'd say add in some light lifting. It can help speed up your metabolism. Just do the main compound lifts though. Bench press, Squat, Deadlift, Overhead press and add in some pullups, chinups, dips and pushups

Firstly, congratulations, great work so far. Lifting will help you get stronger and it will build muscle mass, regardless of your weight. It will not improve your looks much because you still have too much fat. The only reason I don't suggest lifting is if it takes you too much time/work and ends up demotivating you from losing weight.

Alright. I'll look into it. I know as of right now I've definitely lost some muscle mass but I guess starting anywhere is good.

Hmm. I kinda understand that. my work keeps me physical and busy 6 days/week so maybe I'll just keep that up and eating a lower amount of calories for a while.
