5/7 days a week she is a crazy as fuck bitch. She's super self conscious, super jealous, super prideful. Ive thought about this brobeans. The only reason I left the military was because I just got done with my third deployment (shortened so only 7 months) and when she was born I held her and realized she was the only thing that mattered in the world. ANyway, once I held her I realized I couldn't do another year or even a month away from her let alone die leaving her alone. She's 2 1/2 now and my love for her just grows everyday. I can divorce and be financially fine. We have separate vehicles, both names on deed to our house which we'd split the mortgage and that's all I owe on. Truck and house. Went out to a diner near me. They serve pancakes I like, buckwheat with blueberries, and the wait staff give me double order of fried mushrooms for free because I'm a regular.
I'm listening to the news on my phone, and a hand waves in front of my eyes.
Its a girl at the table next to me, with two other girls and some dude.
"What are you listening to?"
I tell her the news.
All the girls start giggling like crazy. "He works out his body and his brain!"
I chuckle a bit with them.
"Do you go to clubs?"
I tell them no, and again, giggling like mad. Guy says "He doesn't need to go to clubs cause the girls just follow him home!" And he offers me a high five.
I'm pretty confused, but whatever.
"What do you do?"
I tell them I work in pre vis for a tech company, and the words barely escape my mouth before they get started giggling. "He's from the Matrix! He downloaded his muscles!"

I ask them what they do. One says actress, one says she's in school for psychology, the dude says he's going to be a "scumbag lawyer just like my dad", and the last talks about how she's finding herself and tells a story about India and being a vegetarian.
I kinda just thought to myself, if I could have sex with these girls but I'd have to hang out with them, would I do it? And I said no, they're not interesting to me.
"Want to come with us to a club tonight?" the dude asks.
I just said thanks but no, my food came, and I said it was great talking to them and I hope they enjoy their meals.
I dunno, looking back, if I was younger, I would have been desperate for their attention. Would have worshipped them in the hopes they'd fuck me.
Maybe not a typical accomplishment, but I'm kind of proud I decided to hang out with friends and watch Pixar movies and design board games for fun than go to a club.

The way I see it, lifting is not something that "makes you strong" in that sense, but it contributes to it. You see, lifting is a challenge you voluntarily take on. You could not do it and do whatever easy, non-challenging hobby you can think of. But by choosing to struggle and do "harder" things while in good times, you'll be more prepared, mentally and physically, to cope with harder times.
