Just got a pull up bar, but i forgot to check if my door trim was at a 90 degree angle, which it is not, it goes slightly down, not much but a bit.
Could i fall and erect myself?
put some couch cushions in the doorway
do you only have one doorframe in the house?
also put masking tape on the wall behind the top black bar because it can leave black smudges

I live in an apartment so i have two with the same trims.

The metal clip should help avoid slippage. The weight of your body is what holds it in place, not so much the trim.
Bear in mind, too, that if you just have decorative trim nailed to the wall, rather then a proper arch, you could rip it right out of the wall. I tried using my pull up bar when I bought my current house, but as soon as I started applying my weight to it, the trim started to snap.
When I lived in an apartment with metal door frames, it worked like a dream. Sturdy as you could want.

I will try and put the clip on and then try to use it, here's to not dying.
Also i think they are decorative trims, and that they are pretty new. I have no idea about the door frame tho.

Are you afraid of falling 2 feet? Man up you pussy.

Where does the metal clip hold onto? I always thought you would ram it into the trim, that's why I didn't buy a pullup bar like that since I have metal door frames.

Thats how mine works, pic related. I'm pretty sure there is also a screw on top to further secure it but I installed it years ago and don't remember.
