Sup /fit/?
Moving to a new place in a few days. My rent is going up and I just got the car I wanted so I'm going to be changing my diet as a result. I want to eat 1800 calories a day and spend $150 a month on food. Anyone here try meal replacements for an extended period of time? What about another way to keep eating cheap without getting malnourished?

>220 lbs give or take
>lowest weight was 180 which I hit twice, and gained again twice
>I want to be 170 and 1800 calories daily will get me there in 8 months accounting for water weight
>both times I gained weight was from a lack of energy due to shitty nutrition, which spiraled into me stuffing my face for extended periods of time
>wheat and dairy make me feel sick so I need to avoid them as much as possible

I tried making my own soylent type shakes. After some experimentation I ended up with something that wouldnt give me 100% uncontrollable liquid diarhea, but in the end I ended up craving normal food too much. I went a while drinking soylent during that day and having a normal dinner, but no matter how I tweaked the formula, my shits and farts were unbearable to both me and my surroundings so Im back to plebfoods again.

oat flakes maybe?

Tried loads of different stuff, including but not limited to Oat powder, coconut meal, quinoa meal, maltodextrin, vitargo, soy meal, banana flakes, all types of vegetable/fruit powders. Ended up settling for oats and maltodextrin. It seemed like it produced the least noxious side effects. It also helped to prepare the shakes in the evening and let them soak overnight.
