Is a 1000 calorie deficit too much?
Just started cutting for summer, worked out my BMR and its about 3500 calories to maintain, but i can eat roughly 2500 calories (220g protein minimum) and its bareable and theres no point in the day where I'm actually hungry or feel like i need more food. I've been eating 6 meals a day mainly lean meat and veg or a protein shake in the mornings. I've been training for about a year and a half, I train heavy as possible 4 times a week and box for 2 hours once a week, I also have a fairly active job..
I want to lose as little strength and size as possible, is this too much of a deficit?

any other opinions?
cut hard, cut fast, get that shit over with.
Get enough protein, don't stop lifting and you should lose any size.
Also, holy shit intermittent fasting is a god send imo, really helps get the fat to melt off.

I would not use that much of a deficit because I'd be worried about losing strength. You aren't all that strong yet though, so it may be fine. Just be ready to adjust up slightly if necessary.
