On this routine, the only thing you will gain is a big squat. It has ONE upper body exercise and you will end up looking like a T-rex.

Squatting is a full body exercise.
Compounds are king.
Bench and ohp are both upper body.
You should add in pullups, chins & dips at the very least anyway.
There is nothing wrong with SS. The only way you end up with disproportionate legs is if you stay on it too long (It's a beginner routine, don't stay on it too long.)
