Not the worst. Definitely better than Planet Fitness.

There are a few near me, one doesn't have much and is mostly treadmills but the other has a lot of free weight shit. I guess it depends on location.

Go check it out. Mine did a free week trial and I love it. Mine has nobody in there so it is a magical place. I worked out in an empty gym today. They have all the freeweights, squat racks and what not I need. But, that is just one location.

Depends on the location, I go to one that's small but great, $20 a month and I can go late at night when I get home from work and they have all the free weight equipment you could ever want. 3 power racks, plenty of benches

It depends on the location, but in my area they're pretty good. The two I go to have several cages and a ton of freeweights, plus they offer free yoga for mobility. The one downside is that they don't have a saunas.

I do think they upsell their membership with memes though, both locations have TRX rope shit and kettlebells as well as some crossfit stuff. But this may be a blessing, I've never been to a planet fitness but I assume the higher price of anytime means less dregs of society will use the gym so it ends up being cleaner and nicer to use.

Of the three in my area, 2 are top tier gyms and one is slightly below average.

When I travel and go to one, it's generally above average for a gym.

I've been to ones in Jessup MD, near Detroit MI, Columbia MO and I think one other one I can't remember...oh yeah near Emory VA.

All were solid.

Its not a serious gym. You cant seriously lift there.

mine had two power racks and DBs to like 80 I think. 24/7 too which is nice if you have autism and want to work out at 11 pm like me. Overall I think anytime is good choice for a beginner choice

I go to one, only thing is mine doesn't have bumper plates or straight bars (has 2 ez bars though). Other than that it has everything I need and no one hardly goes there besides people who do cardio and some old folks. They say you can't use chalk but I just deadlift when the staff isn't there.

You can do a body weight routine for free at your house if those are your two options for gyms IMO. Buy some dumbbells and a weight vest and start those time under tension progressions. Better than touching any equipment in those shitty gyms

My old one had a deadlift platform. My new one lacks one, but I don't have a problem doing any of my lifts. Plenty of room, racks, benches, bars, and weights to do any exercise.
