yeah, I do them a lot, though I don't think you should really ever go very heavy on extensions if you value your knees, they're more a hypertrophy exercise. I also use hip abduction machine, do lunges, and pistol squats. But I feel like without getting some actual strength in my legs, my gains will be pretty mediocre no matter how much hypertrophy I do. That's how it has been with every other muscle group
