First day back doing lower body stuff after a week and a half off for knee tendonitis. Did some box squats. Worked up to 100 kg for a triple. Light compared to what I usually lift but I didn't want to push it in case my knee was still funky. Kinda hard fighting the urge to lift more.

She was an exchange student, so she had to move back to Shanghai when she graduated. I honestly think I could have stayed with her for life if that hadn't happened.
I woke up feeling really messed up about it yesterday. It happens on occasion, but I've been pretty stressed from school and work and stuff, so it spiraled a little. Luckily, I work in an artsy part of campus, so I bailed on work and borrowed a guitar and played some. I haven't played in years, so it was pretty nice. I even got to teach one of my cute Chinese grad student coworkers how to play a couple of chords.
Do I like the Chinese grad girls because they remind me of her, or because I have yellow fever? Only time will tell...

Yes but you'll just plateau again. I tried this for a while but my progress was shit. I'd basically be in cycles of deload, 5x5, 3x5, 3x3 only to stall again at like 5lb more than the last time.

Once I switched to an intermediate program I started making regular gains again.

The 3x5 to 3x3 thing just isn't good in the long run because you get to a point where you're not getting enough volume.
