Reminder that lifting heavy is not sustainable

it's mostly cause eric took all the good genes for himself.

>fucked up back

Yea no shit
>>40503074
Because juicing since 15 to lift an en elite/world-class level for numerous years is the same as when /fit/ lift """heavy"""
>>40503352
But his form is good /fit/ told me you wouldn't get injured if your form is good
>>40503379
Just dont get to stupid weights, also powerlifters have awful form.
I mean I was never really strong, but I used to squat and deadlift 3 pl8s and had to stop because of serious lower back pain. I think I herniated a disk and kept pushing like an idiot for a while before I decided to stop. But I've found in the years since that I can maintain good leg mass by doing high-rep leg presses and leg curls. Some people can get away with lifting heavy and seem to avoid injury though.

he doesn't even look like he lifts
>>40503412
this, Omarisuf has an excelent video on how elite powerlifters change their back posture to a rounded one when getting to stupid weights. It's irrelevant to the average /fit/izen because we will never get there.

You won't get injured if you don't fuck around with your form to get bigger 1RMs.
Eric jr and Ernie used to squat high-bar, narrow-stance in competition.
Both changed to low-bar, hip-replacement-at-35 stance to get that extra 50lbs.

>low-bar, hip-replacement-at-35 stance
thats da HIP DRAAVE!
>>40503074
lift heavy when you're young and able to, then as you get older and can't lift heavy because your bodies degrading, lift lighter but more intensely.. its not rocket science bras.
>>40503074
Working hard wrecks your body (duh) which is why the bodybuilders on the right are perfectly fine
