Do some people gain strength and muscle mass way easier than others /fit/?

My gymbro has been going to the gym for around 9 months and I started going about 2 months ago and I'm already stronger than him on every lift and now he makes up every excuse under the sun about why he can't lift as much as me, he also goes to the gym everyday and does full body workouts and I only go 3 times a week for around an hour each time

if he's training full body everyday it sounds he isn't doing the main lifts that build the most strength: heavy bench, squat, deadlifts, ohp.

If you did any of those for heavy sets there's no way you could train it again the next day.

I think it's genetics. My mother was a kick boxer and my dad was an athlete. I have literally never been to the gym and fitness models loading up on supplements are liking my pics, then I look at their profile and their biceps are smaller than mine. I have actively been trying to get rid of my hamstring muscles because I have been doing farm work since the age of 11 and wanted to look good in skinny jeans like other girls, but I've given up and am just embracing that being the way I am now.

the problem is two persons could have exactly the same bf% and lifts, while having totally different metabolic scenarios

i would test both of you doing HIIT or something like that
also how do you guys sleep, and what the fuck are you eating

i won't go into memes like profiling and stuff like that.... i would suggest your friend to up his test doing HIIT, and that you take into account noob gains and be aware of getting fat

Overtraining isn't a myth m8 his muscles never have time to rebuild stronger if he's lifting everyday
