So, my mom is 51, and recently she started this new diet. Basically, it is a 90 day diet in which she must "split" foods everyday: First day - eat only one product that contains proteins (ex: only meat), Second day - eat only starch, then only carbs and finally, only vitamins. Then, the cycle repeats all over. She is allowed to eat certain vegetables every day, but she must still not exceed a certain calorie limit. Also, in 3 days different of this diet, she must not eat anything, and just drink water. What do you guys think about this diet? Is it a healthy and efficient way to lose weight?

Mono food diets do make it easier to not overeat, and having different ones one day after another will help with any deficiency so might be a decent strategy. I am also a big believer in fasting, 1 full day a month isn't so bad.

that's fucking retarded, not eating any food 3 days a week is a good way to fuck your shit up, especially if you have to actually exert energy

Pretty sure OP meant 3 days out of 90, not 3 days every week. fuckin jagoff

OP here. I meant 3 days out of all 90.

Sounds pretty stupid and gimmicky imo, but I can see how the strict rules could benefit fatties that can't moderate their diets when given a little leeway.
For any reason other than gimmicky weight-loss it's pretty garbage tier.

This is only good for people to build some discipline because it's actually easy to manage
