Do I have a hip injury fit?
I'm 5'9 135 trying to exit Asian twink mode. Been doing SS, and I'm super weak. One day I see a guy I know at the gym and he gives me advice on squat and deadlift form.
Next day I come in and do squats, this time with better form, and ever since that day (4 days ago), something hasn't felt right in my left hip joint. It hurts whenever I move it, and sometimes when it stays still. It feels more like a joint pain than muscle pain.
I don't have APT, but I do think I have weak glutes.
Could you give me advice on what this is/anything I could do to prevent it in the future? I wasn't even squatting 1 pl8

Can't do it right now if every time I move my right leg I get pain.
my right hip has been hurting too. It started out in my hip flexor area, and I thought i just pulled it or overworked it. But then it turned into more joint pain close to the sciatic nerve. Now it hurts in my lower back, right above my ass.
its been going on 2 months at least. I'm thinking its got to be one of those smaller gay hip muscles that nobody cares about...or i need to stretch my hamstrings and strengthen my abs more.
It literally never hurts when i walk or do anything...it only hurts if I want it to hurt.
I have scoliosis, so im also constantly paranoid about my muscles working unevenly
just stop doing legs and deadlift for 2 weeks, u fucked up

Give yourself a week or two off, stretch daily see if that goes away. Most likely you got tendonitus up in there. Training light or resting should fix it, if it's still there beyond 6 weeks you may need a doc.

How's your ankle mobility? I had a similar issue where squatting deep would cause an impingement in my left hip joint.
Turns out I should've been keeping my knees in front of my toes way more than I was doing, and working on my ankle mobility corrected the issue. My stance was also slightly too wide for high bar.

I don't think my ankle mobility is that bad. my knees were probably going too far out, but I have no idea how to correct that, because even when I squat bodyweight my knees go past my toes

What stretches would you reccommend?
Bump once before letting this die

I had hip pain for 6 months before finding out I had a pretty bad labrum tear and tight af ITC which had to be released.
It happened to me through squat/deads/running too so you may also have a hip labrum tear. get an mri and find out.
I got mine operated on last week, just starting to walk again.
got any questions, ask
