Does anyone have any experience using a Trapezoid Bar to deadlift? I see a lot of people in my gym using it. Wondering if there are any advantages or disadvantages to a traditional barbell. Discuss pls
Weird image glitch
It was the best piece of workout equipment I ever used nothing even comes close to the convenience and natural acclimation to using it but then one day I started to get chronic hip and wrist pain from using it. Probably never gonna use it again. Would still highly recommend.

>trapezoid
When compared to a regular barbell deadlift, the trap bar basically removes most of the lower back work and replaces it with quad work.
Do them if you prefer them and don't want to be a powerlifter.
But I'll fucking find you and skin you if you claim your trap bar deadlift stats as just deadlift stats.

I think you're overstating the difference in lower back work. The hex bar is much closer to a conventional deadlift and is an effective low back builder and targets the spinal erectors.
See here http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/ErectorSpinae/TBDeadlift.html
You can also emphasize the hams and low back even more with hex bar by starting with hips a little higher. Or lean back into it and treat it like a squat.
