Generally, there's no hypothyroidism diet. Although claims about hypothyroidism diets abound, there's no evidence that eating or avoiding certain foods will improve thyroid function in people with hypothyroidism.

If you are fat, do a calorie reduction diet.

Go to a doctor and get some t3 or whatever they give.

Guy with hypothyroidism here. Avoid soy like the plague, take a natural supplement blend with iodine, cook your greens whenever possible, and exercise and you'll be fine. Synthroid will fuck your thyroid for life and is a perfect way for doctors to get your shekels so they always prescribe it. Unless you're thyroid is completely dead or gone, don't fall for that trap

Femanon with Hypothyroid here, have been taking Synthroid for 13 years.

How much of this is true and how much of it is bs bioscience? I don't eat Soy like crazy but it is definitely in my diet and quite a few energy bars/shakes I like use soy protein.
In what way does Synthroid Fuck you up? The only other medication I have even heard of for Hypothyroidism is Armor Thyroid by I've never bothered even asking about it because I've been using Synthroid for half of my life and have always felt fine.

Inb4 fatty or making MUH HYPO excuses. 5'8" and about 111lbs. Relevant because I'm curious if height, weight, or gender makes any kind of difference here.
