Squats, deadlifts and muscle ups are the only things I do that I can imagine benefit my vertical.
I'm 5'10 and I can grab the rim of a standard basketball hoop and I've never done any specific jump training. (I do have long arms tho) I imagine if I did train for it, it would add a good few inches also.
