been going to the gym for about 2 months now and ive been using a routines my buddy gave me. i dont see any gains yet. how do i know if a routine is good and how can i know what to put in my own routine?

6 sets of squats at 2 reps
6 sets of straight leg dead lifts at 2 reps
3 sets of leg press at 8-10 reps
3 sets of bent over barbell rows at 8 reps
3 sets of dumbell flys at 8 reps
3 sets of the pulldown machine thing at 8 reps
3 sets of dumbell pullovers at 8 reps
6 sets of incline or flat bench press at 2-3 reps
plus assorted dumbell stuff, maybe some assisted dips, preacher curls, random machines, or just some extras.
sometimes do 15 minutes of cardio on a bike.
im 6'1 235 pnds and eat 3000 calories
workout 3 times a week and im on my feet all day walking and lifting 10pnd bags (im a glorified janitor).

it should be noted i feel better and have lost weight. also thinking about going an extra day. right now its mwf but may go saturday or sunday. also thinking about doing pushups sittups and body weight squats on my off days witha short jog.
