Talk to me about your gym. Tell me what you like about it. Tell me where it could use some improvements.
My current gym is disgusting, but I plan on moving this summer and it is always refreshing to know there are decent gyms out there.
My gym:
>All equipment manufactured circa 1981
>Nothing is ever cleaned ever and it smells like it
>Women and non-schizos are afraid to enter the weight room
>40 and 50 something's with apparent head injuries trying to relive god-knows-what
>Literally obese roiders
>Jon bon Jovi on the stereo
Tell me about your gyms so that I may dream

my gym is gross but it has all the equipment i need and i can afford it, also way less normies than the popular gyms
>gym is small as fuck, at best 8x6 meters
>has barely any equipment at all
>only 1 bench, DBs going from 2 to 27kg and a single frame for chin ups/dips
>windows look out on a street where random people walk past and stare at you if you do dips
>a fucking cat walks in randomly and sleeps on the bench
>continuously smells like sweat, jizz and tuna
>the faggot DYEL who owns it literally sleeps there
>he doesnt even leave, he just stays there all day either lifting or using the computer
I guess thats what you get when you have a home gym.

I actually really like my gym
>it's housed in what was once a small warehouse
>has 5 power cages
>two monolifts for squats
>6 benches
>5 deadlifting platforms
>dumbbells ranging from 5-200lbs
>two oly platforms w/ full bumper plates
>strongman training area
>several free chalk stands
>atlas stones, truck tires, beer kegs, etc
>manager has been lifting for 30+ years and has extensive knowledge on pretty much everything regarding lifting
>rest of staff is friendly and can hold a conversation
>other patrons are welcoming and non judgemental
>despite being 1/2/3/4, im one of the weaker regulars
>hosts fun events like Highlander games and Chili cook offs in the spring
>also has a couple of lolfederation PL events too
It's a 9/10 gym. Smells a little funky sometimes though. Also doesn't really have a locker room, it's more like a closet where you can change. It's about $45 a month for the yearly membership and I don't plan on ever leaving
The gym I go to is pretty great. Only complaints are that there's only 2 power cages and no oly platform, but fortunately there a space where you can lay out mats and deadlift there and almost no one uses the power cages so I can usually do my squats with no issue.

Kek
>really small gym
>cons:
>no bumper plates
>can't chalk
>no straight bars, only 2 ez bars
>pros:
>cheap
>2 minutes away from my house
>barely anyone goes there
>open 24 hrs
>pretty new equipment
>has everything else I need
Meh, it works for me since I don't use chalk anyway and don't do olympic lifts just yet. I just like straight bars for forearms but I can substitute with ez bars, just not the same.
I go to a smallish gym in a leisure centre. It's ok.
Only 1 bench + rack, 1 good squat rack, 1 less good squat rack. Then your usual machines. Dumbells up to 50kg. 2 loose olympic barbells and 1 smaller barbell.
It gets busy at peak hours but ppl are good with sharing stuff. I'm ok with it.

You had me going there. 10/10
know 80% of the guys there.
"Nice gains bruh! Let's workóut together soon"
I love lifting by myself but I'm shit at telling them I'll prefer doing it alone.
They have a pretty big area for free weights along with all the other cardio and weight machines, etc. I go at around 8am so I don't have to wait for anything.
How much is the monthly gym subscription in your city/country whatever?
Here in Latvia - on average from 20 to 40 euros, depending on times and in how many you can go (from the same holder)
