Multivitamins are essentially paying for expensive wee. There's also some evidence that they increase your risk of cancer (but only a small amount, in the same way that being taller makes you marginally more likely to get the big c).
However someone recently did a a big literature review that shows you should take vitamin d tablets; stops you getting colds, etc

take a look at your diet and find out what vitamins you're deficient in and then take just those

good starting points are vitamin d, zinc, potassium, and iron if you're grill
