Redpill me on Amino Acids. What are their benefits and should I drop protein shakes for them.
aminoacids are a scam
you absolutely do not need them to build muscles
in fact, they have literally nothing in common with recovering muscle cells or proteins in your body
Unless you are lifting while fasted, you have no real need for them.

AAs are the bricks that are used to build protein, each protein is made by houndreds to thousands of AAs. There are about 20 different aminoacids and some of them are more "rare" in food and are essential to build muscle, hence the existence of BCAAs. As almost every supplement they are good but surely not necessary, not until your diet, routine and sleeping habits are solid.
