You moronic muscle heads have totally bastardised the word aesthetics. Aesthetics is about the consideration and appreciation of beauty, it does not itself mean 'beautiful' or 'attractive'. Unless this book is about developing a taste or appreciation for male beauty, then the title makes no sense. What Joff actually means is '"Joff's guide to developing an aesthetically pleasing physique".

I've been on lifting boards longing than I ever wanted to. Browsed misc before zyzz even started lifting. The fact is, the majority of people round here have no idea of the correct usage of the term, and aren't using it in an ironic sense at all. In before 'tips fedora'.
You gotta admit, it's fairly typical of a bodybuilding community to try and introduce a cultured term, but get it completely wrong.
