I started deadlifting with double overhand or hook grip now.

use hook in all your warmup sets and then when that starts getting hard switch to over under and then your hook grip will progressively get stronger

at least thats what im doing

I don't believe that you could deadlift 550. Also hook grip is different from overhand grip.

But yes, you could reach the same weight with hook grip. Probably not overhand, but hook grip I find is just as strong as mixed

But yeah many people find hook to be just as strong as mixed once they get used to the thumb pin with hook. I mean look at oly lifters. They fucking snatch 300+lbs with hook. Just gotta get used to it

Do people with smaller fingers have a harder time with grip? I have tiny fingers and I can't do above 250 lb double overhand without it slipping. Dunno if just weak or maybe it's harder to wrap around with short fingers.

I don't see why you wouldn't just be a huge fag and use straps after like 3pl8, there's no shame in strapping up for a 5pl8+ dead
