it's just good amount of volume (5-8-5-8), good frequency (4x), high intensity (@9). Also, training with spoto press and slingshot press is quite good for improving weak points.

For more experienced lifters I prefer stuff with lower intensity and a bit higher volume, like sheiko.

I left w2mon and w3mon without second squat sessions on purpose to be less fatigued for the days after them (7x3@80% and 3x1@90% respectively)

But I added a 4x4@70% to w2fri since I'll have the weekend to recover and 3x2@85% isn't too hard and I added a 4x4@70 to w3wed since the next few days after that would be real light giving me plenty of time to recover until skills test

Thanks trappy for the input I might actually run this and tell you how it goes

I just started SS on monday, doing the first phase where you deadlift every workout.

Yesterday I felt my lower back had not recovered propery. I had slight pain etc, so I did back extensions instead. Is it fine to start alternating back extensions with deadlifts? Not in the way like it says in the book, where deadlift becomes every 5th workout, alternating with power cleans, but in an AB fashion during the first few weeks (phase 1)

So far it looks like the frequency of the main lifts is +accessories is decreased in favor for increased per-day volume on the accessories and intensity on the movement variants. Didn't think it would look so different.
