What's /fit/'s experience with 20 reps squats?

None because I'm not an autist.
>20 rep anything
no thanks
This kind of depends on how explosive you are though.

rather go running or cycling rather than wear out my joints on a movement that's better for strength training

did it when i started,
60kg x 20 to 80kg x 18 in about 2 months
1rm was 100x1 , went to 100x7 as i kept going up in weight.
my only regret was doing it with a belt, you need to do it beltless
put alot of size on my beginner legs, just make sure that your mobility is good and stretch daily

Look at alan thralls legs. That's what happens when you do 20 rep squats. It doesn't optimize strength, it just increases your lean mass and endurance. Reserve 20 rep anything for bodyparts you actually want to grow disproportionally big, like back, shoulders, arms and chest.

I do 225 for 20 reps
its a fun challenge and its a much better workout then 5x5 at a higher weight

They are insane for making your legs grow, but mine are already big enough.
Did 3x30 before following some routine my bro chose. It was fucking stupid.

20 reps squats are an effective old school method.
People do them wrong tho, you are only supposed to do one set of 20.
i hate high volume squats but i might do this if it was pretty much the whole workout. High volume after heavy weights is hell though
I did 7 reps today and i wanted to die

max is 185#
