But is swimming a worth it cardio or is cardio not worth it?

If you want to be able to move around like a functional human being and not die young then cardio is pretty good, yeah.

So is swimming the way to go?
>>40411767
swimming is good, low contact cardio and isotonic as well.

If you're too fat to run then swimming is the next best thing. If not fat then do both.
I swam kinda seriously once a week for a month and I got some shoulder width in
was sweet

It´s not hard on the joints (quite the opposite) so you can get a full-body workout even if you have backproblems. Also it´s good cardio in general.
So so so much better than running
>>40411798
no, fuck running
ex runner here, lifting and swimming is infinitely better. the only running that i'd say is good for your muscles is 400 meter dashes or less
Help I can't do freestyle stroke.
I can do breaststroke all day, adjusting intensity as necessary. But when I try freestyle I'm completely winded after a single pool length and I feel that I'll sink if I slow down.

Work on your breathing. Maybe practice stationary or with a kick board.

THIS! work on breathing and cardio in general, get a kickboard and focus on your kicks and not strokes, then get one of those things that keeps you from kicking and work on your stroke, and just keep doing that, as well as swimming normally you know, but just work your way up to longer swims
Is it alright if I swim 2 days in a row, on saturday and sunday that is? I don't really have time to swim during the week, only on weekends.
>>40412995
yea just dont push yourself too hard as you start out

Do you mean dashes like in intervalls? All the muay thai bros swear on running. Do you think swimming would be better?
