nah he was a guy who went around killing other guys who had swords and since that was the cool thing to do in japan at the time he became very famous

anyway he never lost a battle and in the end he settled down and became cultured as fuck and wrote a book about how to become the best warrior through his martial art

a lot of the wisdom can be applied to modern life today as long as you don't take it too literally

I listened to The Book if the Five Rings audiobook hundreds of times while I wrote my master's thesis. It really started to affect the language of my writing about 60 pages in.

See my problem with stoicism is basically it discourages trying to change your circumstances, and instead just deal with them
