Going Gud, building a bunch of muscle and dropping the fat, my fat ass guy touched the steering wheel in December and now it's really far back. Only regret is not starting strength training sooner in life
>>
Pretty good.
Started at 112kg. About 95-96kg now.
Aiming for 85kg.

Feeling a lot better, enjoying the exercise, diet isnt an issue. Feels like im on the home straight.

>tfw this is my second time doing this, because I turned back into a fatty after losing 30kg a couple of years ago.
>>
Great, down to 220 from 360 a year ago. Looking to drop another 40 pounds for my goal.

>sunday league soccer starts in a month so upping my cardio
>>
Eeh, so-so.
Started at 83kg, down to 72kg... About 4 years ago. University, relationship issues and mental problems have made it hard for me to stick with anything for longer than a week, but I'm trying.
>>
>>40392840
Not losing any weight, but I am slowly replacing fat with muscle. I can fit in pants I couldn't before because of waist, and no longer fitting in pants I could before because of calves.

I'll take what I can get.
>>
Pretty good. I've lost 50 pounds since November. I recently went down a pants size and they won't stay up without a belt now. For the most part I'm also down a shirt size but shirt sizing tends to be more inconsistent

At 204 now, down from 320 two years ago. Trying to get below 202 as fast as sanely possible so I can go for my medical evaluation for Air Force enlistment, then I'll go back to losing a slow & steady 1lb per week. Losing 2lbs a week really sucks after awhile

Don't give up. It's not impossible. Fight the cravings and stick to your diet. Workout, do cardio. Drink more water.

I went from over a hundred and twenty kilograms to fifty nine, now I'm lifting to gain, sitting at sixty eight kilos and I've never looked better or felt healthier in my life.

You're gonna make it, you just have to want it bad enough Anon. If you want it, you'll find a way, if you don't want it that badly, you'll find an excuse.

So Anon, an excuse, or a new life as the king of your domain. The choice is yours.
>>
>>40393103

Hey man, I did similar crazy shit to your scenario. I had a Air Force band audition on Jan 30, I have a Navy Band audition/weigh in this Friday.

I've gone from 220 since mid November to 189 now. Keto, IF, extra cardio, and I stick around 2k calories.

>>
>>40393212
Take your weight throughout the week and get the average. As long as that weekly average is going down you're fine.
It's common for day to day weight to fluctuate up and down. It's about steady and constant progression. Don't let the scale bother you bro, we're all gonna make it.

> PS:
If you're 106 I don't think you should be cutting anymore.
>>
>>40393212

Muscle weighs more than fat, water weight.
>>
>>40393248

I think that's referring to kg
>>
>>40393248
Yep , kg
>>
It's going but I feel like I plateaud a bit. Lost 25 lbs since the beginning of January. I have to reenter ketosis but I am running more
>>
>>40393258
i only drink water since november , could it be affecting my weight if i drink too much?
>>
>>40393258

you're not adding muscle at a rate fast enough to offset fat loss.

this is the biggest myth ever.

you'll happily accept it takes years to any significant poundage of lbm to your frame on a bulk

but as soon as you get into a cut it changes to

"well ive been eatin 1k deficit for 2 weeks but scale hasn't moved"

"oh u probably put on 4 pounds of pure lbm thats why, muscle weighs more than fat after all."

no.

>>
>>40393308

It effects your weight sure, but it's just your body holding on it, it's not making you fat.

>>40393318

Didn't say he added that much, just assumed that with noob gains and that diet that he'd be adding some muscle while losing some weight as a possible explanation. Plus, a little encouragement always goes a long way. No need to get salty my dude.
>>
>>40393374

The fat loss is going great. No longer fat technically, 24ish Bmi.

But it's been tough getting out of cocoon mode. Everyone keeps saying I'm thin and it's getting annoying as fuck. Also everything is boring, and I'm having a hard time going out to parties and what not.

What to do bros? Has anyone been through this?

It's coming along but I've had a weird experience since the college term started.

My first day of chem lecture I come in and sit down. In comes this quite fat dude, sits in front of me. Dude's balding too, and can't be over 24. And I'm just thinking wow, I used to look like that (I was 275 lbs, now down to 220 and dropping), and I was a total virgin, no friends, no girls talked to me, etc. This dude's that fat and he's balding? His life must fucking suck.

So as the class is just about to start, this girl rushes in gasping for breath. Honestly pretty cute, solid 8, big butt that was hard not to notice as she just beelined for the seat next to the dude in front of me. And you know how people just keep going for the same seat every day in class even though it's college and there's no seating chart? That's what happened here.

And over the past month and a half I've witnessed this fat balding dude charm the fuck out of this girl. He literally just turns to her during small breaks in lecture to chitchat with her and make her laugh, seemingly effortlessly. I saw him get her number without the slightest bit of awkwardness. By the third week they were constantly coming and leaving together. And now they're dating and she hangs off him like you wouldn't believe.

Now, obviously this guy would be a lot better off if he lost weight. But what gets me is that while I basically gave up any hope of a social life until dropping a certain amount of weight, this guy just didn't care or at least didn't let it stop him, so now his social skills are fantastic while I'm still a stuttering autist. I let being fat become this all-encompassing excuse to never even try in other parts of my life so now even though I'm fixing it, I'm behind in other areas.

tl;dr used to think being fat was 100% a death sentence sex-wise, got proven wrong right to my face, now acutely aware of how much else in my life I have to work on

>>40393386
Go back to re ddit

Muscle is denser than fat, it doesnt weigh more. That doesnt even make any fucking sense.
Also its a girl not a guy you idiot.
At the very most she can gain .5-1lbs of muscle a month.
Newb gains are from your nervous system adapting, not rapid muscle building.
You should no longer be allowed to post here cause of how fucking stupid you are.
>>
I'm down about 103 pounds. I have been stalling the past week or so. I've been very sick and stressed. I have not been eating much.
>>
I started at 240, it's one week into my cut of 2200 kcal per day with body weight routines 3 times a week and cardio 2 times per week but I'm still the exact same weight.

wonder how many people fucked up/stalled their own weight loss with that advice.

>>
>>40393764
the first time I lost it all I did was cardio, so I was incredibly weak.

As my diet went to shit (similar to you, a lot of alcohol) I actually started lifting, so despite piling on the fat, I also became a lot stronger.

Last year I wasted a lot of time and would lose/gain 5+kgs routinely.

Have stopped drinking and over the last few months have made a big push to get back in shape. Was 108kg in November, down to 95.5 now.

This time around im still lifting a few times a week and running daily.

So hopefully ill end up at the same weight I was before, but be in much better shape when I get there.
>>
>>40394265
I've been off the liquor for 2 weeks now and feel I can pretty much stop for now. Adopting a diet soon.

>>40392840

who else /backontheroadagain?

started at 330 back in march 2016, got down to 260 by july, got gf, got cocky, now back to 284

lost all that weight with keto, now i've been doing it again, just hit the 10 day mark so the hard part is already over, i need to lose these extra-extra 14 lbs asap, preferrably before april

Losing weight is easy as fuck, the problem is getting back into the mindset of losing it, once you're in, you're good to go, i'm not really that salty about gaining those 14lbs back (lost 60lbs in 5 months and gained 14lbs in 8months), but i'm angry as fuck because i could be around 230 or even 220 if i wouldn't have fucked up 8 months ago

let's fucking do iiiiiiit
>>
>>40395103
Oh, well never mind then. Yeah, up your deficit, if your deficit was really 500 you would lose a pound a week. I'd try for 1000.

Make sure to autistically weigh and measure all of your food with scales and cups and spoons, something small like estimating how much oil you cook with can add several hundred you're not thinking of.
>>
>>40395150
not that poster, but i normally use a lot of oil because my pan suck and the chicken sticks to it unless i use like 3 big gulps of oil, but once i'm done cooking most of the oil stays there and i can actually cook with it for the next 2 or 3 meals

should this worry me?
>>
>>40395185
Be results-oriented. If your goal is to lose 2 pounds a week, and you're losing 2 pounds a week cooking in an inch of oil, then don't worry about it. If you hit a plateau and can't make progress, then that's when you start worrying about stuff and making changes, in which case yeah that would be a good place to start.
>>
>>40392840

I binged and ate too much junk food last weekend. Weighed in Thursday at 258, weighed in today at 272. It's mostly water weight but still feels shitty as fuck.

Just in general I haven't been able to lose weight quickly lately. I need to be a lot more strict than I used to. Which makes these binges that much worse.

I rarely shit these days, maybe once every three days. And I eat a lot of green veggies so I don't think I dont have enough fiber.
Should I eat things like psyllium husk? Or should I just get a buttplug to replicate that nice feeling of shit passing through my ass.

Getting through this plateau but I'm kinda worried...

Last July I was basically forced onto a scale because I went to a doctor about this lovely disease I'd learn I have called gout, and was 330 pounds.

Up to November at that point I lost 50 pounds (so 280 total). Then, because I'm an idiot, it was the holidays, and I fought a nasty cold I held my weight around 280 - 290 until the start of January when I didn't have any outside influence (mostly fatty family) bullshit getting me off track. So from January to last Sunday I've stayed the course, lost two pounds a week and am officially 280 again.

The part I'm worried about; I check the scale in the mornings but officially set in my weight to my log every Sunday, but somehow I've gone down from 280 to 276 in like... two days? I know weight fluctuates but I've been pretty steady with the two pounds a week thing (my ultimate goal being getting to 200 by October, short term goal in the long run because I obviously want to get leaner (manlet checking in at 5 8)) ... is there a problem if you lose weight that fast? I'm pretty confident I'm hitting nutrition goals, for a few months I was hitting 900 calories a week and was miserable and upped it to around 1300 - 1500 and haven't had issues...
>>
>>40392840
Originally 265lbs at 6'0, easily got down to 225 and have been plateauing there for a months. Currently cutting at 2lbs a week compared to my original 1lb a week to try and break it and it is hell. My goal weight is 190 and I'm sincerely afraid I won't make it, I am so god damn hungry all the time the closer I get to my goal weight. I have tried every trick and tip out there except hunger suppression pills from a doctor, more water, spaced out smaller meals, larger amounts of fiberous vegetables, etc.. I'm eating 2000 kcal a day, doing greyskull and 5K on workout days. I feel I'm officially at Iron Will Monk Mode unless someone has a better explanation.

104kg 174cm here aiming for 80-75kg,started 2 weeks ago,already lost 2kg

Wanna be 75kg by mid-year,can I make it? How many scoops?
>>
I have stopped being fat 3 years ago, but sharing the story anyway.

>was 110kg at 170cm
>decided to not be a fat fuck anymore
>started a "crash diet" while picking up inlineskating, as I hate running.
>dropped 30kg after 3-4months doing this with nip fucking excuses

So no real up and down, the initial weightloss was the easiest part of my whole fitness journey.

You just have to be honest with your self.
Do you really want to be thin/fit?
Then start during and exercising.
No excuses.
Those excuses are not coming from YOU anyway, you know they are excuses the second those thoughts pop up in your head, we all know that, it's just that some of us believe those excuses and others just don't.

Fuck the voice in your head, very often it's no YOU, very often it works against you, against your deepest goals and values.
So whatever you do, rethink it, think long and hard, is it actually your idea to eat that cookie or does something else want it while masquerading as you?

Been going to the gym for a few months now, only really started taking it seriously in the past month or so with keeping track of progress and diet.

Feels nice comfortably doing sets with weight I really struggled with a couple of weeks ago. Diet is ok, took a bit of getting used to as I used to drink a lot which i cut out so I am not used to eating my calories instead of drinking a lot of them.

I actually look forward to going to the gym now and enjoy being there. Never thought that would happen. Still fat (6'2 and 210 lbs) but better than I was

Why the fuck do plateaus even exist? What's the point of them?

I went from 155kg to 95kg with having a cheatmeal a week. Offcourse, it's a cheat MEAL. And i still tried my best to fit my calories/macros. Too many people take that cheat meal too literally and have this feast that almost destroys your entire progress of the week.

like with basically everything in life, moderation is key.

Alright, ahve lost 85 and got another 25 pounds to go til I'm at goal weight of 130. Kinda sad about the stretch marks tho. I put cocoa butter and whatever on it but it doesn't seem to be helping much. I have some loose skin on my stomach too and my breasts have gotten lower. It makes me feel bad that I'll never have a nice body because of my bad habits when I was a teenager.

Went from 29 to 24 BMI and plateaued. I've been stuck at the same weight for a month now, I can't picture eating even less, I'm already starving for half the day and don't stuff myself when I do eat. I can't imagine thin people live like this day to day throughout their lives.

Terribly. 214lbs, 1200 calories a day, working out 5 times a week (40mins cardio at 160bpm, lifts, etc. Absolutely nothing. In fact I've gained in the past month. I look better and I can feel my muscles are bigger but the weight isn't moving.

Seriously about to revert to 2000 calories a day because I pretty much maintained at that. Doesn't make any sense. This wasn't what I was told would happen.
>>
>>40392840

Recomped (only a 5kg/10lb weight loss) from 40% to 20%. Given up pretty much and just focused on being a powerlifter. Moved to a new town so no one knows how fat I used to be and just think am that fat strong guy now. Not sure hot to feel.

Gimme some tips anon. I'm doing really great with the diet so far but I fucking hate exercising. What's your routine etc.

I love long walks but I rarely have time now.
>>
I just started a few weeks ago and I already need a new belt.
>>
>>40398716
measure your waist size and body fat% - if they also stay the same something is wrong otherwise you are just gaining muscle.
>>
>>40398771

I think I've lost inches around my waist but then sometimes I measure myself and I seem bigger.
>>
>>40398734

In the beginning I was only doing treadmill for like 20 min/day.

As soon as I was able to, I switched to basic body weight exercises.

At the moment I do a body weight circuit that involves pushups, squats, lunges, plank and dumbbell rows. Really really basic stuff.
My workout is usually 10 minutes warmup (for example treadmill or a mix of shadow boxing and running on the spot or rope jumping and so on - in summer I go for 10-20 minute runs for warmup) and then I do these exercises 3x10 each (or 30s plank), as few pause between the exercises as possible and 90s - 2min pause between the circuits.

I gotta admit, the eating is what I'm struggling with. Still couldn't completely cut out soda (still drinking ~1 bottle/day) but I eat as clean as I can (no wheat shit/gluten - because I have gluten intolerance anyway) - about 60% veggies (i fucking love avocado), 35% meat/fish and the rest BYOB (but moderately).
I mean it's almost paleo (to throw that buzzword in :P) but I'm not very strict about it.
I eat until I'm satisfied (though I, of course, cut down my portions significantly)
>>
>>40398781
It could be anything. You could be holding water differently or havent taken a shit in awhile.

Once I had a massive dump that seriously dropped like 5 lbs from me.
>>
>>40398789

addition: Depending on how I feel, my "ideal plan" looks like this:

I do workouts 2 days in a row, then 1 pause, then 2 days in a row, then 1 pause, then 1 day, then 1 pause and repeat - whether that's reasonable or not ... it seems to work for me
>>
>>40392840
down from 137kg to 110 since July. Goal is below 90 and with this pace I'll get there in half a year or so..
>>
>>40398792

Thanks anon. I don't feel like I can stop anyway now - 5 times a week is a huge achievement for me and it makes me feel amazing. Just a bit annoying how I feel like I'm starving myself and running myself down to the bone yet I'm not seeing any difference on the scale.
>>
>>40398781
Don't focus too much on your weight. If your waist got smaller that is a great indicator that your cut is working, even if your weight stays the same for a while.
My advice is only weigh yourself once a week and also measure your waist every time, if you can also track body fat%
>>
>>40398789

second addition:

Even the FACT that I feel satisfied (or full) again after eating is a huge achievement.

When I started I could literally stuff my face with any amounts and I'd never feel full at all
>>
It's going pretty well. Down 35lbs since September. Another 35 to go. Maybe more depending on what I look like at 165. Can't help but wonder where I'd be if I didn't stumble at Thanksgiving and Christmas, though.

You can legit get gyno from being fat, not just moobs.

Fat tissue contains a large amount of aromatase, which converts test into estrogen. If you are extremely fat for long enough, you will basically have significant levels of estrogen in your blood for a male and it is possible to "grow" breast tissue which can only be removed by surgery.

For fat loss:

> Eat healthy and clean

Watch your macros and try to take and hipocaloric diet, with a relation of 2g protein/3Carbohydrates/1 good fats based on your weight.

>GH helps you building muscle and losing fat
So try to get away from manipulated food with E-621 and that shit stuff, and for stimulate it make weight exercise 2-3 days a week, with full body rutines, so you make all the parts of the body same day. Dont be scare of making so strenght training with low reps, it really helps too.

>Intermitten fasting

If you stop breakfasting, and use a 16/8 period of dieting, where 16 hours you dont eat and 8 you have to it, it will stimulate GH and help you to lose fast more than anything, and you wont lose any muscle, because catabolism wont appear. So for example eat from 11:00 to 19:00 and use sleep time to help you complete 16 hours without eating, becuase this helps. Once you get a full month, you will see great changes and dont mind some headache, thats normal when you dont have your Carbohydrates for a while

>Dont spend money on shit for "fat loss"
>>
>>40399190
swimmin in the ganges REALLY fast
>>
>>40398045
did you adjust your cal intake ? with less bodyweight the body need less maintenance calories. so if you eat the same the actual deficit becomes less and less the more you lose. though this effect should be very small.
>>
Oh and dont forget to make HIIT training some weeks, becuase 4 minutes of a 15 seconds sprint 30 second rest/15/30/15/30/15 will help more than 20 minutes on the threadmill.
>>
>>40399573
Fatloss in inherently catabolic. It's why you should lift and be more active while doing fasting or calorie restriction.
It's to maintain muscle and increase the excess energy being burned.
>>
>>40399636
It won't. And HIIT for an overweight person who's been sedentary will be utter shit for calorie loss and will be dangerous as hell.

Walking for thirty minutes at a decent pace will in fact burn far more calories then any HIIT that person can do and simple calisthenics will cause a superior "afterburn effect" as well as build and maintain muscle, joint strength and integrity, and help them become stronger and gain more endurance.
Which will cause them to hopefully become more active in their day to day life. Why is this important? Daily base activity such as walking from place to placer or simply standing for a cumulative total of 4 hours burns far far far more calories then any one exercise session an out of shape person can ever do in a day.

I question the calorie counting belief. Not ignoring thermodynamics, but Newton's laws assume closed systems and no one has convinced me your body is a closed system.

About a month ago I was around 210 at 26.6% bf, according to the gym scale. I've been pretty righteous about eating clean and working out.

Routine is GSLP with arms plugin. I also double increments, including the press (5lb increments), because I can. Yeah newbie gains the last month. It's great.

Diet is zerocarb one meal a day at 3500 to 4000 calories. I only drink water. Typical dinner is 1lb ribeye, 1lb lamb chops, pack of bacon, 4 eggs, some cheese. Every night for the last month.

My maintenance is about 1900. I double it and I have not gained weight. I actually lost 4 lbs.

How come? I don't know. I'm going to keep eating 4k calories in my mega dinners, fatty meat and water only, doing 22 hour fasts, with gslp and see where I'm in another two months.

At some point you have reason, but im pretty sure that when he adapts to making some sport, HIIT will help him a lot at maintaining muscle and reducing fat.

>Fatloss ins't necessary catabolic

Some studies tell us that you cant build muscle and lose fat but as i said, it's possible.

How? Very simple, Growth hormone, it make muscle grow up and burns fat, is the 70% factor of this possibility, if he's under 18-21 (it depends on his/her genetics) he will have more GH than an adult and making what i said will help him a lot to burn fat and gain weight, if he's in adult age, he still has a bit of GH and with that intense work out and correct dieting he will be able to do it.

(That's exactly how steroided people transform so fast, because GH)

You lost a lot of weight in a relatively short period of time. Even though a year seems long, if you were this overweight for years, your body still considers this your set point, or the weight range in which your body is programmed to function optimally. Even though you know you're still fat and you can survive losing more weight, your body is fighting hard to get you back to your set point. I've been struggling with this myself for years since I decided to go from 290 to 198 in a little over a year. 198 was the lowest I went, and since then it's been a struggle to keep it down, now I'm around 205. I found that keeping a consistent diet of good, clean foods, lots of vegetables and virtually no processed starch or sugar, combined with heavy weight lifting helps reprogram the body to make your new set point. There's a great documentary on this concept called the Weight of the Nation.
>>
>>40399610
I did adjust my calorie intake, but when I started eating 1200 calories a day that's when my weight loss stopped.

I actually started eating more, now at 1500 calories per day, and I cut out my cardio due to a back issue. Im still neither gaining or losing though. Considering doing a refeed eating at maintenance for 2 weeks.

There's nothing magical that will happen when I lose the weight, but I just keep up the delusion that everything will change. If I accept the truth I'll just start overeating again because what's the point?

Hmm. Doing good, but in my case it's slow because I don't want to build muscle, and had a little accident named christmas with family.

I'm startin to like my body. For the longest time I thought I had a type of body that I didn't like, but when I stopped hating myself I could see that I had a pretty decent frame, for my taste at least.

Push Pull Legs workout routine. Basically you do push, pull ,legs , rest and then push, pull, legs, push, pull, legs. Gives you one rest day a week and builds muscle really fast. Pretty sure it's explained somewhere in the sticky

I'm in the same boat. 350 to 250. Obviously I have plenty of weight to lose still but I definitely realized that once I get to 200 or so I'm just going to be the same person but taking up less space. I still don't know how to talk to women, and the therapists I go to don't seem to know how to help me.

Ultimately read up on it, and pick what's best for you personally. I chose this over cardio because as you do a lot of cardio you lose muscle mass and fat which results in you looking flabby and droopy. Weightlifting builds muscle mass while burning fat. It may take longer to lose the weight but I'll be happier in the end. Make the gym an addiction and make yourself a junkie.
We'll all make it one day.

I'm 6'2" and I've been lifting for 6 months. I know it's a bodybuilding routine, but I needed to switch things up and become more dedicated and disiplined. So far it's working, 1 month in, we'll see how it goes.

Jesus are you me? I got down to 190lbs in 2012. Really focused on diet this time along with my normal cardio. Starting some basic lifts too but damn have those made me sore.

also it's ALL come off my face, hips and ass (male), like i know it's just 13 pounds but it's made a huge difference in how my pants fit, i think nearly 3 inches on my waist

chest hasn't changed one iota though. is this normal? i see pictures of guys who are way fatter than me with some sorta chest seperation. i don't have gyno or moobs, it's all on the sides, like near the armpit, so i have no definition whatsoever

do people just store fat in different places? i think my face gains might be from quitting booze

Gonna start my fitness again today
I had a brief 3 year lapse due to alcoholism and today marks my 29 days clean
I'm on all sorts of medication which have fucked my appetite, and in conjunction with the alcohol abuse I ballooned up from 160 and very fit to 250 and horrendously fat and weak
Wish me luck. I just ate 780 cals worth of pizza and I'm saving a couple cans of anchovies for dinner.
Tomorrow I'll be able to get out to the grocery for cleaner foods, but I thought I might as well moderate the rest of the shit I have leftover.
Anybody have experience managing appetite on SSRIs? Since I started them about a month ago, I've had uncontrollable appetite, which I'm hoping to power through on willpower alone, but my stomach literally turns when I don't eat to being completely stuffed. It's not supposed to be a side effect according to my doctors, but it really hit me once I started them (lexapro for social anxiety and trazodone for sleep if you were wondering)

Worst part is the hanging skin.
I owe FPS and Body Transformation threads on this board for most of the motivation.

What has your experience with keto been like?
>>
>>40404405
keto is good in that it makes it easier to eat less.

carbs have high caloric density, and it's easier to feel full and satisfied on a caloric deficit if you're doing keto.

Also, only do it if you're cutting. without carbs, you're not going to gain any muscle mass.
>>
>6'6"
>20
>Started almost a month ago at 240. >Down to 230 now
But I haven't weighed myself in a couple of days.
I don't do as much as I should, since I started doing this with my girlfriend, who I live with, and she feels like shit when she inevitably goes over her calorie limit, so I join, because I'm a shitty enabler like that.
I don't tend to hit my calorie limit, but I don't check everyday either.
I've tried hitting the gym, but between my extremely busy schedule and her pretty busy schedule, it's nearly impossible.
I'd like to get to a healthy weight, and finally start putting on muscle.
Any tips or sympathy from anyone in a similar situation would be appreciated.

keto is terrible because it is not a sustainable change. You have to break keto every 2-3 months or else you are risking seriously damaging your body, it was designed to help children with epilepsy and cancer patients and even for those it is a last resort kinda thing. The fact that people now use keto to fix their poor self-control is honestly sickening.

I lost 5 pounds last week because I was sick and probably lost a lot of muscle.

I don't really fit in with a lot of the /fit/ folks here but I'll post what I've gone through and where I currently am. Any tips, advice, encouragement, are welcome. Posting a pic of Emily Rudd cause she was certainly my motivation at times. Find yours.

>Was somewhere around 225lbs, 5'11, 19 years old around last February. Not super fat, but also extremely little muscle.

>Would never work out or do anything physical. Walked a sorta decent amount for school and work.

>Ate HUGE portions with a ton of ketchup on everything. Giant bowls of spaghetti covered in ketchup, massive cheesy casseroles covered in ketchup, etc. Only thing I didn't eat was a lot of candy and other sweets.

>Decided to cut the ketchup in place of hot sauces that have no sugar (Frank's Hot Sauce and Tabasco).

>Lose about 10 lbs in a month just by doing that and just starting to limit my portions a tiny bit. Stop eating my almost daily big bowl of cereal before bed.

>Continue to lose another 10 lbs or so across another two months.Eventually plateau in progress and end up trying my company's gym. Start poking around the various machines before falling in love with the elliptical. Would go on that for as long as I could stand. Some assisted pull ups too. Would use the back extension machine, and hip abduction machine to cool down.

>Buy some dumbbells to lift around when I'm watching videos/movies.

Been doing this for the past eight months or so. There's been some bad days and bad weeks but I've been keeping at it. I'm now 170 lbs and I usually feel pretty great. I get these little bursts of energy where I just want to run around the house and do pushups off the furniture. Trying to get into the dating scene that I've been trying to ignore all my life. Compliments from coworkers (including the cute grills) and condescending jokes from family members that I'll melt into nothing have been my energy to keep going.

TL:DR. 225lbs --> 170lbs. Cut the crap.

But with losing that weight, your daily calorie output keeps getting smaller and its getting way harder to maintain. Before I could literally eat over 2000 calories and still be in the green.
