Maybe I didn't have this handicap growing up due to my grandfather's example but I would suggest learning to pack a bag, build a hootch, and spend a couple nights in the woods. collect as much information as possible, then get out there and learn what works. Do this every couple months and make it your head-clearer.

Or just join the Army and go for the highest courses you can.
