If you are doing it to help your deadlift lockouts then yeah just below the knee is ideal.
I thought it was bullshit but then I did 4x15@405, next day traps and upper back under my scapulae was sore as hell. Scared the piss out of me because the upper back pain was in a place I'd never had pain before, thought I snapped my shit up...turned out I'm just a pussy.
