All squats work core. Just because it's tougher to lift more weight in a front squat doesn't mean it's any better.

I never felt much in the core with back squats. But with front I struggle to catch my breath at the top.

And also if you're interested in quad strength or general leg development.

But I don't expect anyone on this board to accept this because you're all noobs with extreme mindsets that honestly believes one variation of the exercises is superior to the others and will argue to the death over it when you fail to realize that there each just as useful for what they're designed to do.
