In Finland I kid you not we have students from law and medical schools working at McDicks because the employment rates are just so fucked. It's honestly a luxury at this point to work even in fast food restaurant or supermarket.

You need to see what you like. I find that anything from Oliver Curwood and Alistair MacLean practically reads itself. You actually might have a harder time putting it down than the phone, but at least you're not shining a light in your eyes right before trying to fall asleep.

Go on Goodreads. Add a few books you've liked in the past, see some recommendations.
Some general recommendations that are fairly easy and decent if you haven't read in a while would be A Separate Peace, Great Gatsby, The Stranger (a little odd but easy to read as a comedy without trying to read too much into it), The Chrysalids, The Art of the Deal (Trump is a meme now, but love or hate him, if you can read this book with a neutral attitude you'll likely enjoy it), Catch 22 (again, possibilities for analysis are there but it's a light read, very entertaining).
If you're looking for something on the pulpier side try Robin Hobb or Dragon Lance fantasy stuff, or Stephen King, particularly The Dark Tower. Those books will only train you to read more sort of useless escapist stuff, but they're not so bad and they're still good for winding your brain down before sleep.

My parents forced me to go to a psychologist and she said one of the greatest enemies of sleep and mental health were electronics, especially before bed.
SInce I've seen her, one week ago, I've limited my time on the phone/laptop and and never bring them to bed about 1h before sleeping, but bring a book. going to bed by 11h with a book and no electronics+waking up around 8 am and I've never felt so good, so focused and happy.

I was lucky that my parents forced me to go to a psychologist who is also a neuroscientist or however you say it in English, so she showed be troubling data and convinced me electronics are "evil" and just be used as least as possible
and never in bed.
I'm not a depressed fuck after seeing her and actually look forward to "live", after seeing her. Even my gf noticed the difference and all I did so far was, pretty much, minimize pc/phone usage, never take them to bed and program an 8h sleep + move around more and try to define actual things I like as hobbies (that means no internet/shitposting/watching shit but rather play my guitar, brush up my photos, study new things).

Contrary to what anon suggested, I kind of did the opposite, was nocturnal too, on weekends without work, I would wake up around 2pm to 3pm, lift at 3pm-4pm do all my shit with the pc/gf then when its 12 am I settle and watch movies and shit, I'd go to bed at around 2 am and would fiddle with my ipad, my avarage sleeping time was 4am, 530 ams are the worst where the sun rises and its fucking annoying but I did this everyday

Instead of changing my habits, I adapted to it, used my nocturnalism (?) for me instead of against me, so I started working out at night, both lifted and jogged around 9pm, and also worked as a call agent in a graveyard shift.

My job sched was basically 7pm to 2am, I would get home at 3, sleep at 4 and wake up at 12pm, what I liekd about it is how my coworkers are all stressed by the schedule that their bodies were slowly breaking down and I was fine and shit without caffeine.

I dont advice this though
