There are a number of 5 day sheiko cycles around now including the old MSIC one on the spreadsheets, the Fedorenko cycle, the Podtynny cycle and the Abromova cycle. Not all have been converted to templates yet. There are others as well but they need to be translated from Russian.

Start with SS, not SL.

Then move to an early-intermediate program like Texas Method (http://imgur.com/a/l54a1), BLEST, Nuckols' 28 free programs, Candito LP, etc.

After those become difficult to progress with, move on to intermediate programs like Sheiko, c6w, Nuckols' 28, hepburn, dietmar, project momentum, RTS generalised intermediate, etc.

My recommendation would be SS->TM->Sheiko/Dietmar or SS->NuckolsBeginner->Sheiko/Dietmar

But all the programs mentioned above are great.

They're made with the same materials as the Adidas PP2 - and both the PP2 and PL2 have been worn to break records and win gold medals both in powerlifting and in olympic weightlifting.

Do SL, then after your gains slow down, switch to 5/3/1. Then sit back and watch the gains seemingly infinitely come in.

It's that easy. Strong Lifts is amazing for learning form and you will never not be strong enough to do the lift. If you are, all you have to do is 5/3/1 and you're set for life.

This is easily the best way to learn how to lift and get strong as fuck

Games and comics are kind of useless in the grand scheme of things, but books are pretty easy to get immersed in and learn new, usuable things from. Plus they help keep your brain thinking, and help ward off dementia. Unless you're spending hours a day reading, you're not missing out on productive things in the day. There's really no downsides.

Plus reading about how some fags from a long time ago were picking up stones no other man could carry, and smashing brains with it get me motivated as shit to get stronger.

Does anyone have experience with injuries and lifting?

When I was younger, I was a boxer. A lot of my lifting was calisthenic and light weight. I did some 5x5 and my form was typically good, but I broke my hand in a punch and that threw a lot of my balance off following. I tried getting into bodybuilding but incurred a lot of injuries from that and when I went back to boxing and MMA under a new coach, I messed up my hips from some ridiculous sparring. Over time, I just managed to lift and grow while accommodating but mostly ignoring these injuries. Now, I've treated them, but as I've gotten into Olympic lifting since a couple weeks ago, I felt these areas aching often following lift days. As I stretch them, they feel much better and even stronger, so I'm thinking it's just a period of greasing the grooves and adjustment to the exercises (specifically snatches.)

Anyone else familiar with this sort of thing?

My guess would be because the traps are involved in the dips.

Just keep doing dips, ohp, and maybe add some weight to the dips and you'll get 2plates. You're also fat enough to get a pretty sizable benefit from pushups too. End every workout you bench with pushups and it should help out. 3 sets of whatever rep range you can do of pushups at the end and you will get stronger.

But it will serve the purpose of at least having an idea.

People joining should know this is experimental, the program is not the original 6-day written by dietmar, and it's a taxing training frequency.
