I am curious what people think about this and if anyone has tried it before and what the results were. For those who don't know, a brief summary would be that this diet focuses on a high intake of fats, a moderate intake of proteins, and a low intake of carbs.

Im on day 2 right now.
Had some real bad shits today, and have had a persistent dull headache. It could be keto related, but I'm also cutting diet soda so who knows.
Gonna piss on a stick tomorrow (3rd day) and see if i'm doing ok. I've been like 65% fat 30% protein and 5% carb (like 5g total) so I should be getting close.
>>40348872
fat makes you fat, sorry faggot. Good luck trying to feel full with a reasonable calorie intake with eating basically only fats. Stupid fucks
Great for losing water weight or for people with broken diets who are too lazy to fix them but otherwise proven countless times to be completely parallel or inferior to standard calorie deficit as far as weight loss is concerned
>>40350000
>inferior to standard calorie deficit
Only when the retards don't count calories on Keto and think it's a fucking magic fat loss solution.
>>40348872
Been doing it since new year. Lost 4kg (8,8 lbs) so far.
Some basics:
>Atkins is retarded, no need to avoid protein just eat low carb (<20g/day)
>Take magnesium, multivitamins and drink a lot of water
>Count calories obviously. I highly recommend intermittent fasting and only eat one big meal a day. Fasting is easy as hell while in ketosis.
>A bowl of eggs a day.
>>40350000
quads for truth
it also goes poorly with high intensity exercise like lifting. keto is mainly for lazy people who don't exercise much and are unable to control their calorie intake with normal diet. it doesn't have any magic properties, except it's hard to overeat on and learning to eat less carbs is beneficial for most people as we generally eat way too many carbs on a modern diet

It seems like there is a difference between facts and shit you just "think is right".
Low-carb calorie restricted diet has been overwhelmingly proven to result in more body weight and fat loss. Complete opposite of your bro-science, who would've guessed.
I think when you realize the human body works on biology, organic chemistry, bacteria, organisms and shit like that, that's when you realize that the simple concept of calories in and calories out doesn't make as much sense.
Your body will not deal with 2000 calories worth of soda in the same way as 2000 calories in avocado or something your body actually needs nutrition wise. I think a ketogenic is a good long term goal, more specifically eliminating almost all sugar except for a small amount of fruit per day.
Calorie counting should not be a thing, people should just learn to listen, observe and learn about their bodies. It's literally what you live in and what allows you to live life.

Shut the fuck up you DYEL.

Keto works, and it works very well - but only for the time of your diet. It is not a sustainable kind of diet and was never designed to be.
If you are prepping for a contest and want to get really lean, you do keto for say 8-12 weeks, then do carb load days. On Keto you loose a lot of body fat, but your muscles also get deflated from draining their glycogen stores.
Now the thing is: once you stop the keto diet - which you eventually have to, it's not suitable for long-term dieting - you WILL get really really fat in really short time. Your body will take all the carbs and store them a) in the muscle glycogen stores as well as b) in a lot of body fat. If you lost 5kg in the entire diet, after this you'll probably have lost only 1kg and sacrificed proper muscle growth & quite some mass in that time.
As >>40350000 said, a caloric deficit is always the preferred way if you want to have sustainable fat loss and don't have a specific deadline to meet.

>I think a ketogenic is a good long term goal
If you want to die, sure. It is not suitable for long term and not healthy either. Read >>40350683

So 65g fat 30g protein? You need to eat more you fucking idiot
>>40348872
>not doing the Piana Keto
>>40349941
go ahead and eat 2k callories of sugar then.
fat can be healthy and is gopd for hormones, or you don't even supplement omegas from fat?
what makes you fat is the fact that you eat shit food and refined shit
>>40350690
Why would you die? The post your referred to doesn't state anything convincing. Your body doesn't need carbohydrates to create glycogen.

Get baited harder faggot.
