Why shouldn't I go to failure every set?

Overworking the muscle will ruin your gains
Cuz youre a failure at life and should quit while ahead on at least one thing

Because if you train to failure you will hit failure after less reps every set.
Volume is the most important factor in muscle growth, and training to failurenl will most likely result in you completing less total reps.
When I do bodybuilding style rep/weight schemes I like to train 1-2 reps short of failure on my first 2-3 sets of any given exercise, then go to absolute failure on my last.
I always do 3 normal sets of higher weight, and then i like to drop the weight to about 50% of that and go to failure

Used to do that too. That is I took of like 10kg and went on without pausing
Thoughts on that?

Because then you will be a failure.

It feels like it works well for me so far, but that might just be noob gains in my arms since i took a 2-3 months off of serious lifting. Definitely feel the burn at the end of the set.

Do you do it as a 4th set or like I did immediately after the 3rd?
