I do live 150m next to the gym but still shower there every time.
You shouldn't want people to think you're smelly, unhygienic or have complexes of showering.
In my gym 99% of dudes shower and like 80% of girls (that I was told, I didn't go in to find out).
Also I pay for the option to shower, so why not use it.

after i got my kid and reached the beautiful age of 30 i stopped giving a shit. if i think about it now it's quite laughable that i worried so much about what others think.

if other people are insecure about their looks or get embarrassed by seeing another guy naked why should that be my problem? plus i'm pretty well endowed so i like to walk around naked at the gym just to show off
