Pic related red mark, feeling a pop sometimes inside back of knee just before full leg extension. noticed it after a HIIT on a bike a few weeks ago. i guess tendons? anyone have this?

i do too but this is weird. i've done some cardio since it happened fine. but after squatting last week it was worse making me thing injury. i was walking around the gym after squats and it was catching almost every step, but am now fine

you're sure it isn't just the popping/"cracking" within the joint capsule?

pretty much painless. like i said after squats the other day it was catching if extending quickly, but not really painful. but if i got loose and jogged on the treadmill there'd be no popping or pain. haven't tried sprinting yet

if i bend my leg with my foot/knee point outside and straighten my leg while turning them back to center it'll pop back there every time. if that helps lol

its only tight muscles, the tendons "slap" agaisnt each other and it echoes in your body and sounds like a crack from bones but actually its the muscles. So try stretching and/or foam rolling

Had the same problem for months on end up until a week ago. Try properly warming up your knees and putting stress on them. ATG squats quad and hamstring extensions. Also something that i suppose helped is that i do 5-6 min on a bike before every workout, has become habit ever since i had this problem.
