I would recommend reading the sticky before you ask this question. In the sticky; the articles by Lyle McDonald specifically referring the body recompoisition section talk about the "toning" up. There are a lot of interesting reads in there mentioning the P-ratio which will help you understand why the toning thing is a meme. Secondly it helps you gauge other dynamics of fat loss and muscle gain that could help you stay motivated and understand the process better. I wish you good luck anon.
