I started first like ten years ago but it has been a daily habbit for like 2 years now. it pretty much forces you to grow up faster and boosts your nervous system overall. Permanent results require daily sitting at least once a day but you will notice differences in a couple of weeks if you stick to it.

better body awareness and control. a lot of stuff happens because your breathing and posture gets better. information flow kinda gets faster. first things I noticed when I started was a clearer head, patience, better awareness and actually listening to people (though most are not actually saying anything). I really dont try to talk anybody into beginning meditation because 90% quit soonish because facing your issues is not really so relaxing as promoted.
