Are you supposdd weigh meat raw or cooked? I've always done it cooked but I was told that the nutritional values are for the raw weight. However when I measure it raw and look at the macros it just seems like it's a little high for what it should be.
>>
raw

i feel like nutritional values for meat always have a good ±10% tolerance. nothing to autism over though.

what are you trying to measure?

I'll switch over to measuring raw then.

And chicken, beef, meat in general desu. But meat was the biggest thing i was confused on. I'm trying to tighten up my diet for a 500 cal a day surplus.

There are different nutritional values for raw vs cooked meat. So measure them how you like and then multiply with the coresponding value.

eg.
>350g cooked chicken breast is 3.5 * 165cal = 577cal
>500g raw chicken breast is 5 * 110cal = 550cal
so you get the same end result. Which means the calorie difference is mostly just water loss.

>water
>calories
shut your whore mouth, fucking idiot...

and op, do you eat raw, or cooked meat? weight the meat as you eat it, don't be a fucking dumb cunt
>>
>>40271373
lol

when you cook chicken it loses water, aka it weighs less. this weight difference is quite noticeable so you either weigh and value before cooking or weigh and value after cooking. don't ever mix them

"fucking dumb cunt"

I have the same question for pasta
200g turns into like 500 g
>>
It should be raw but I always weigh cooked for sanitary reasons. As long as you are consistent in the method that you use you will see progress so it doesn't matter
>>
>>40271428
pretty sure nutrition info on the packet is for uncooked
>>
>>40270147
Do cooked meat as it's easier.

Anon is correct.

^^ Good tables for reference for chicken

>tfw have been measuring my cooked chicken as raw chicken
>tfw eat 8-16oz of chicken a day
>tfw have been on a cut and wondering why the fuck I wasn't losing weight

A-at least I've been making gains I guess.
>>
>>40271373
lmao how thick do you have to be to not understand what I meant? the meat loses water so it becomes more calorically dense.
