Knee pain during squats.
Do I switch to leg presses?
Is there a group of exercises that strengthen the same muscles?

Bump because same problem
Zerchers
Are you hitting depth? Knees not caving in?
I have the same problem too. I can't back squat even with correct form because my right knee is fucked. Switched to front squats and no more knee pain

But if he's having problems with back squats why would he do zerchers? Isn't the back angle almost the same as a back squat? Can't really comment on it since I've never personally tried it.

Wider foot spacing, load off the lower back and more onto upper back

What kind of shoes you wearing senpai?
Switching from shitty cross trainers to proper hard soles with lift worked for me. Powerlift3's were cheap and mine have been all a relative beginner like me needs.
Haven't had a single knee issue since.

So that'll probably help someone with back pain. Also wider foot spacing can be achieved even with a normal back squat. How will that solve a knee pain?

Unless you post a vid no one can say for sure what the cause is. It will most likely be an issue with form or mobility of the ankles or hips. Take a vid next time you squat

I had to do calf and hamstring stretches. Cleared it right up for me.

Figure out what's causing the knee pain and address that. Switching to leg press only delays your problem.
Lighten weight, don't let knee pass midfoot, work back up with proper form you mongoloid.

- Find your local IPF affiliated powerlifting club and join it to get proper coaching on form
- Rest it and put ice on it.
- Get a knee compression wrap.

stop doing highbar
do lowbar
don't have shitty form
there your knees don't hurt and you're getting stronger

Fix your form
I suffered knee pain at around 80kg squat and it turned out I was just using shitty form. I'm now at 150kg and growing strong
