Sounds like you need a higher arch. The reason it feels awkward to lower the bar towards your nipples is that the current horizontal distance is too large, so it creates a big moment arm.

Arch more, and widen your grip to at least pinkies at the PL ringmarks (not the WL ones).

bench, incline bench and flyes are all you need desu. use flyes where incline bench is convenient (e.g. if you just did a good amoujt of heavy bench and want more chest work, your triceps will be too tired to use your chest effectively on incline IMO, so just so flyes)

400 IU is nothing. I just checked my bottle of cod liver oil, it says there is 10mcg of vit D per 5ml (i.e. ~400IU) and I drink about 40ml so that's 3200IU from cod liver oil.

There is also sunlight for 24 hours during summer where I live, so getting enough sun in summer is easy.

I think it's a fine alternative for TM, for early-intermediate lifters looking for more accessories and GPP.

But I tend to prefer TM due to its specificity and focus on the main lifts, and also being easy to customise.
