why the fuck would you stretch out before
you should warmup your sinews and what not first, like hip flexors and ankles for dorsiflexion in preparation for squats. Or rolling your shoulders to warmup for ohp etc etc
but you stretch out your muscles after you're done contracting them

Dynamic stretching is fine (ie.some bw squats before squatting etc), static isn't. Warm up properly in any case.

the only time I stretch is when talking about my 1rm
