I will be deadlifting tomorrow for a first time since a few months and.
Help me guys, can you give me a checklist of how to get in a good starting position? Also I never really feel deadlif in my glutes and I guess I should
stronglifts . com/deadlift/
there's a deadlift tip sheet somewhere
>if you stand upright the barbell should be over the middle of your foot
>your shins touch the barbell where it's smooth
> take yourself time to find a comfortable grip
> pull the weight up push the world down
I almost never feel my glutes there too mostly leg biceps and lower back
JUST B URSELF LOL

This guy has it right do it this way.
Also remember to make sure you bring it up to the top and hip thrust a little and then tighten glutes if you want to feel it in your glutes.
So example, you bring it up, its in the top position, tighten glutes, hip thrust, you will feel it target the glutes.
However hip thrusts are what I do to target my glutes and if you want you can even do weighted hip thrusts. Few different ways to do them to, from ground or with a bench/chair style.
hope these helped you friend. Also start very low weight since you are restarting on them as deadlift form needs to be relearned in a way, make sure the form is down well before you ever attempt much weight.
