So i think i have tight hamstrings and i'm not sure what I should do. I want to start doing SS but I the tightness will ruin my form. Obviously I should stretch but does foam rolling actually work I never really brought the myofacial release stuff. Or I've read ot could be tight hip flexors.
My hams are extremely tight. My physical therapist has me using a strap like pic related to stretch. 3 sets of 30 seconds for each leg

Have you strengthened your hipflexors while doing the stretches?

Try foam rolling your piriformis, quads, and IT band. Do it everyday for about 1:30 on each leg for each roll.

Thanks, no foam roll but I have a lacrosse ball. Physio once told me to do some nerve flossing. I think it may be a meme
