Stickey says Strong Lifts. people say Starting Strength.
What's the difference between them? Why so many opinions?

As a novice 3x5 is more than enough to carry you to significant gains. You'll get strong at basically the same rate, but you'll stall much earlier with 5x5.
SS is better and will take you far further than SL will, even if you've already been lifting and suffering fuck-around-itis.

difference is in reps. as a beginner you don't need 5x5 as 3x5 is more than enough. no point in training more than you have to because you won't look or progress any faster plus you won't plateau as fast.
5x5 is more difficult, so you will stall earlier.
But 5x5 is almost twice as much volume so once stall on 5x5, you can move to 3x5 and find it easy and continues linear progression.
do SL for like 3 months then move onto SS for the next 4 - 5 months

Na you've got it the wrong way around.
3x5 can take you to 1-2-3-4.
No need for 5x5 until you're trying to reach 2-3-4-5.

That is not a SS programm, it is just a first part of it, you fuck face.
