Does protein intake matter as much for strictly powerlifting?

I dedicated last year to research. Basically i lifted everyday and never ate more than 100g protein. Theres only 20 days in the year i hit >100g.
My lifts went up slightly anyway.
S 200->210.
B 165-> 175
D 225 -> 240
Bodyweight 100-> 95

Are you female? Otherwise that makes a really good case for higher protein intake.
In my experience, it doesn't matter much at all so long as you're eating at a surplus and getting ~a threshold value, maybe 1g/kg bw
If you're eating at a deficit though, it matters a lot for muscle retention. I can't remember the ratio but it's closer to 1g/lb LBM
