Started counting Macros this week and decided I want to take gym seriously (been going on/off past few months telling myself I'll do it proper one day). Pic is current body. 20y/o, 5ft 9in/175cm and 176lb/80kg. Based on my current physique, should I cut first and build lean or do I build now then cut later?
My estimated Macros for strength training 3 days a week are 2550 Calories = 280g Carb, 200g Protein and 70g Fat if I bulk or 1970 Calories = 180g Carb, 180g Protein and 60g Fat if I cut.
ur fat as shit nigga wtf

That was a really weak effort mate.
I'm aware of my excessive bodyfat which is exactly why I plan to take it seriously.

You're not that fat. I'd cut. You'd be ripped in like 3 months. Maybe not by /fit/ standards, but everyone on here just trolls. I mean irl standards.
Could probably go even lower on calories depending on what your TDEE is.
Cut now man, then bulk. You have good enough size already, plus cuitting really teaches you how to manage your macros well. I'd also cut down the calories more to 1800ish.

Not sure if I'm keen on GOMAD as it's meant to be used with an ideal weight in mind. I wouldn't know what my 'goal' weight would be

You need to use steroids.

I expect the trolls, I don't mind. Negative reinforcement is a motivator imo. I'll have to work out my TDEE. Only strength train 3x1hr each week and I have a desk job/with some walking (around warehouse floor)

If I were to bring Cals down to 1800, what should my Macros be? I know I should work this out for myself but I prefer to get advice from people that actually know what they're doing
