Are pork rinds healthy? Seems like they are like 30% fat and 70% protein. Maybe too much sodium but better than some chips??

>*Not recognized by the FDA as a good source of protein

I was reading about this a while back as pork scratchings seemed too good to be true: tasty, filling, high in protein, the perfect bulk food bar the high sodium content. Apparently the protein is primarily collagen, which is essentially useless for muscle development.

They're great but not a complete protein. Treat them like beans and don't make them a substantial source of protein. I just don't count kcal from pork rinds. They're GOAT for satiety though.

Not useless, just very incomplete. If you're getting enough protons in your diet then it won't matter, and I've heard collagen is good for skin and joint health. Still a great snack.

The FDA is retarded. They also sponsor the school videos that claim steroids will make your dick fall off, (((they))) are a major meme propagation machine.

They're a stereotypical unhealthy junk food.
For anyone reading this.
Please don't count these 'proteins' into your macros.
You're welcome.
