You shouldn't eat it at night because more often than not those are sugars you won't be using and simple carbs spike up insulin, making it harder to sleep. But you're right, in a good warm beverage like chamomille tea, it's excellent before bedtime. If you add a bit of cinnamon it will avoid the insulin spike altogether if you're only using a teaspoon.

I do 1 1/2 cups of oats, cover with 1/2" of water, micronuke for 1 1/2 minuets. Take out, add 1tbsp honey, 2 tbsp brown sugar. Stir it up, then drink all of the honey water off the top, don't pour it out. Then eat all of the oats! Eatsa guuuud
