Energy drinks/preworkouts create "artificial" stress. They physically put you in a state of 'distress' like if you had just been yelled at or almost crashed your car -- but you have not even lifted a finger.
Working out, jogging, boxing, etc, they put you in "eustress", which is good for you. The energy gaining aspect of preworkouts need to be removed so you only get the endurance boost, because often times what is happening is too much stress is being put on your heart from all the energy boosting shit. 100-200mg of Caffiene is really the most you should need if vitamin B isn't doing it for you. This is why a lot of preworkouts tell you not to do cardio after taking them. Jack3d had to change their formula because too many people were dropping from their first blend.

When you wake up in the morning, you have extreme lightheadedness and brain fog, and this drugged buzzy feeling and can't process information. If you don'y drink caffeine, you'll do dumb mistakes and just doze in and out of consciousness on the couch all day and get a migraine at some point.
